Privacy
SingTabs turns a song link into a play-along: chords and timed lyrics that follow the song’s video. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
What leaves your phone
- The song links you add (YouTube or Spotify), sent to our server so it can find the song and work out its chords and timing.
- An App Attest key, which Apple’s App Attest creates on your device. It proves requests come from the real app. We keep its public part and a count of how many new songs it asked for each day, to enforce a daily limit.
What our server keeps
- Chord sheets, one per video: the chords, beats and word timing for that video, its title and artist, and the ID of its lyrics on LRCLIB. They are shared between everyone who adds the same video, and contain no lyric text and no audio.
- Instrumental tracks, if that feature is on: kept for one day, then deleted.
To analyse a song, our server fetches its audio from YouTube through a third-party service (TikHub) and processes it in memory. The audio is not stored.
What stays on your phone
Your song list, your chord fixes and your settings. The app fetches lyrics directly from LRCLIB, and plays music through YouTube’s official player, which is subject to Google’s privacy policy.
Sharing
We don’t sell or share your data. Our server runs on Cloudflare.
